Announcement: Belk Center is the new Hub for system wide supervision of NCCCLP Cohort, OLÉ, and Alumni as of 2022.

Our 6 month leadership program provides participants with organized, face-to-face experiences to help them develop leadership skills needed to strive in a community college atmosphere.

About the NCCC Leadership Program

The North Carolina Community College Leadership Program was founded in 1989 by Dr. Pat Akers. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Pat Akers and the leadership team are continuously evolving NCCCLP by implementing new, innovative strategies that will propel the next generation of leaders.

Outcomes of the Program

Participants will develop and enhance essential skills to support their current and future leadership roles in the North Carolina Community College System. The program provides networking opportunities for participants to discover and apply best practices to deal with current community college issues.

NCCCL Alumni Group

NCCC Leadership Alumni Group consists of individuals who have graduated from the NCCCLP. Alumni may choose to pay $100 and become lifetime members and receive all professional development opportunities free of charge.

Online Learning Experiences

NCCCLP OLÉ

NCCCLP OLÉ is a new and exciting online professional development program co-sponsored by the North Carolina Community College Leadership Program (NCCCLP) and the North Carolina Leadership Alumni Group (NCCCLAG). OLÉ is an acronym for “Online Leadership Experiences”.  OLÉ, a Spanish victory chant meaning “well done”, is used to celebrate and acknowledges the important work that North Carolina community are doing. NCCCLP OLÉ consists of virtual webinars that will engage, enliven, and encourage those who attend.
